How to balance a stressful everyday life

Mastering everyday life is not always easy. Getting the household, family and job under one roof without falling by the wayside is a feat of strength that requires careful planning. However, the most important thing is that you have time for yourself. This doesn't have to be much, but it must be of perfect #quality in order to allow yourself some time off and thus create a balance for the stressful everyday life.

Our lives are getting more and more hectic. Every fourth employee here in Germany is stressed and exhausted. That's 1.3 million people. Make sure you have enough balance to stay fit. Because too much stress makes you sick.

I enjoy my work and yet there is always the occasional stress with urgent projects, demanding customers or simply my own demands. And there is always a lot to do in my private life. So it is important to find a balance to the stressful everyday life on a constant basis. Below are some ways that will help you, stay and read...

Workout is one of the best options

Fighting your inner bastard is not easy. But you should do it. Not in order to have the perfect figure, but simply to feel like a new man after the workout. Everyone who does sports knows what it's all about. It makes no difference whether it is an endurance sport or a belly, legs and bottom gymnastics, jogging or inline skating. After half an hour to an hour, you'll be super exhausted and feel like a new person in the cold shower. Of course, it is important that you can always be sure that the kids are in good hands during this time. Because if you are still worried about the kids being well, you can't enjoy this time of exhaustion and will only be halfway there. Many studios now offer, for a small fee, childcare that should be used. Most mothers have had good experiences with these childcare services and have been able to concentrate fully on their work in the studios.

Yoga or Pilates

Yoga and Pilates are particularly popular at the moment. Because here you do not only do something for your body, but also for your inner balance, which is especially useful in today's world. Even though both activities are often mentioned in the same breath, they are quite different. While Yoga originated in India and is already several thousand years old, Pilates is an invention of modern times. Yoga is also a part of Ayurveda and especially here the breathing technique as well as meditation plays an important role. Yoga is recommended for a very stressful everyday life, because yoga combines body and mind. In addition, toxins should also be eliminated from the body. I do #Kundaliniyoga as well for everything. Pilates, on the other hand, is a sport that aims to improve the muscles and thus posture. Pilates has nothing to do with spirituality, as it is only a form of exercise, but it can still help you to cope better with everyday life. Both can be easily integrated into everyday life, because the exercises can be done almost anywhere. Even with a simple yoga mat you can get started. With additional accessories, more complex exercises can be performed. They support the correct posture or provide an additional training effect.

Meeting with friends A meeting with your best friend can also be an excellent way to balance things out. However, you should not constantly talk about everyday #challenges and stress. A cup of tea and a conversation about everything can really work wonders to help you leave everyday life behind. It's not for nothing that it is said that spending time with your girl/boyfriend is the best way to combat depression - at least if it's mild mood swings. It doesn't even have to be your best friend, but acquaintances and friends can also help you to leave the daily stress behind and get your mind off things. After the meeting, everyone will find that they are much more relaxed and calm and have practically recharged their batteries.

Creativity makes stress disappear Another good opportunity is to be creative. This can be painting, handicrafts or even a craft activity. Above all, creativity is a way to simply fade out the stress. If you really get going here and have discovered your perfect hobby, you will not even notice how quickly time passes. Whether you pursue your hobby when the kids are in bed or whether you plan one or two hours a week for it when the children are in care is completely the same. However, you should not make the mistake of pursuing your hobby together with the children. The most important thing is that you allow yourself this time off from your family and only think of yourself. The family takes up almost every second. Therefore it is important to take this time only for yourself to clear your head and concentrate on your thing.

Doing nothing can also be a balance Those who do not have the strength or cannot find care for the kids can simply do nothing for the time being. Watch Netflix, put your feet up or just listen to your favourite song and let your mind wander. This can also be a compensation, at least for a short time or to bridge the gap. But of course everyone enjoys the time on the couch without doing anything. This is also perfectly ok and an important point to find yourself and to rearrange your thoughts again. Nevertheless, everyone should find a hobby for himself, a family-free room, so that the batteries can be charged permanently. Doing nothing is actually only to escape from everyday life for a short time. Sports, friends, #meditation or even a creative hobby, on the other hand, are better suited to find a good balance for the stressful everyday life over a longer period of time.

#Tips and #inspiration for your balance


You do not have to manage everything alone, nor do you have to do everything immediately. Set priorities and learn to say no. Not everything depends on you.


Interrupt your work for five minutes at least every 90 minutes. Leave your workplace briefly, drink a glass of water or relax your back muscles. You will not lose any time - it will make you more efficient.


You do not have to do everything perfectly. Good is usually perfect enough. The Pareto principle says: 20 percent effort brings 80 percent of the result. For the remaining 20 percent much more energy is needed. This is not always worth it


Mindfulness means to concentrate on the moment instead of always being mentally at the next but one task. Brain research shows that mindfulness influences our body. Everything relaxes, happiness hormones are released, complaints and problems become smaller, decisions become clear.


Lack of sleep promotes stress, stress leads to insomnia. Do you sleep deeply and sufficiently? Most people need between seven and eight hours of sleep. Those who sleep significantly longer without an alarm clock should go to bed half an hour earlier in future. Avoid watching the screen before going to bed. The LED light wakes you up. Teas with lavender, honey, lemon balm, orange blossom, hops and valerian can help you fall asleep. Or would you prefer a bath with essential oils? Soothing music? I love cold showers! After a cold shower I sleep like a baby.


Humorous people can deal with stress better. Laughter helps to regulate emotions, release tension, change one's perspective and return to optimism. It boosts the release of hormones that are good for our health. For example, beta-endorphins, which counteract depression, and growth hormones (HGH) for a strong immune system.


Well-balanced, varied food is the engine for your head and body. Avoid ready-made products, these contain a lot of sugar and fat. Take your time to eat. Do not quickly gobble up a sandwich on the side. Do not skip a meal either. You will only lose your performance. And don't eat alone, because company is good - not only when cooking and eating. The exchange with others is considered the most important stress buffer of all.


It is almost always our thoughts that stress us, not the things themselves. Thinking positively is an important coping strategy. We are often annoyed by little things, such as a long queue or a missed train. How bad is the situation really, on a scale of one to ten? Keep your distance from the problem. That gives room for new solutions. Do this: Say, who knows why this situation is good for.


Meditation, Yoga and other targeted relaxation methods help to reduce stress symptoms and to come to rest. It is best to build a daily exercise series into your everyday life.


Consciously allow yourself time without digital devices, the "digital detox". Because constant availability, messages at the running meter and permanent sprinkling with information overtax us. Real peace and quiet can only be achieved by deliberately switching off your mobile phone, TV, computer, etc.
